Two labels. No third, vaguer one.

Listing-Checked

Applied automatically at compile time: the firm's public listing carried a working phone number, a website on its own domain (not a social page), and an explicit specialty signal in its own listing text. This says the listing is real. It says nothing about credentials.

Document-Checked

Issued only to claimed profiles after we review documents the firm submits: (1) the underlying licence where the specialty has one (PE, CPA, medical licence) checked against the issuing state board's public register; (2) the claimed certification (for example ACTAR, CFE, or a digital-forensics certification) checked against the certifying body's register where one is public; (3) a current CV. The badge names what was checked and when. Court qualification remains case-by-case under FRE 702 and state equivalents — no badge on this site certifies that any expert will be admitted in any case.

What we never do

We never label an unclaimed listing "verified", never publish reviews or testimonials for firms that have not joined, and never rank a firm higher for anything but a disclosed Featured placement.
